Topher Davis doesn’t follow the expected path — and that’s exactly what makes his horror fiction so visceral. He married at twenty-six, earned his bachelor’s degree at thirty, and wrote his first full-length novel at thirty-six. The winding road gave him something more valuable than a conventional timeline: a bone-deep understanding of what real horror looks like.
Growing up in an unstable home, Topher learned early that monsters aren’t always hiding under the bed. Horror became his constant companion — Goosebumps books, slasher films, survival horror games — and eventually his calling. He shared an unbreakable bond with his father over the genre, and since his father’s passing, Topher writes every word in his memory.
Today he’s an engineer, a devoted husband and father, and a follower of Christ who writes horror that doesn’t flinch from life’s hardest truths. His short story “The Final Tale Around the Campfire” launches October 2026, and his debut novel The Gate to Gehenna goes on submission to agents this fall. His dream is to write full-time — stories that scare, inspire, and help readers face their own darkness.
